Jiwon Suh Cellist
Cellist Jiwon Suh has appeared in recitals, concerts, festivals, and master classes throughout the United States, Italy, and Korea. She has been featured as a soloist with orchestras worldwide, including The Hungary Savaria Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Waltz Orchestra, and Jeju Symphony Orchestra, and New England Repertory Orchestra.
As a principal cellist in the Mannes Orchestra and Boston University Symphony Orchestra, Ms. Suh performed in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Boston Symphony Hall. A devoted chamber musician, Jiwon has performed with Ensemble 212, New York Soloists Ensemble, and Boston Cello Ensemble, among others.
Jiwon holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from the Ewha Woman's University in Korea. She earned her Master of Music degree and Professional Studies Diploma from The Mannes College The New School for Music in New York, where she studied with Paul Tobias and Timothy Eddy. She received Doctoral degree of Musical Arts from Boston University, where she taught chamber music and non-major cello performance, under Michael Reynolds.
Formal faculty member of Concord Conservatory of Music, Ms. Suh recently joined the faculty of New Jersey Music School. She is also in the artist roster for the Si-Yo Music Society Foundation. Ms. Suh is currently managed by Elan Artist Agency.
